Environmental Policy
FutureTec is committed to economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable business practices that recognize the short- and long-term concerns of our stakeholders. Our commitment includes, but is not limited to, the following policies that guide our conduct and decision making.
Health and Safety Policy
FutureTec. is committed to protecting the environment and working in compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation. All FutureTec employees and suppliers are required to adhere to legal standards for protecting the health and safety of our employees, customers, communities, and contractors.
Environmental Policy
Future Tec.’s intention is to implement an environmental management system (EMS). To do so, we have identified our most significant environmental risks and opportunities and intend to set set a baseline. As such, we have identified these to be e-waste and carbon emissions are our most significant environmental risks. Therefore, according to the principle of ‘What gets measured gets done’, we are gathering information to estimate our volume of e-waste and carbon emissions produced in our financial year July 2021 to June 2022.
Establishing a baseline will enable us to understand which of our operations produce the most significant volumes of e-waste and Scope 1,2 and 3 carbon emissions. This knowledge will enable us to identify opportunities to handle our e-waste more responsibly and reduce our carbon footprint. We will also be actively monitoring for other risks and opportunities to include in our EMS.
Once the baseline has been established, our environmental aspects will be managed through an EMS. Our EMS will be implemented and operated according to the principle of constant improvement. Furthermore, obligations for compliance with legislation regarding these environmental aspects will be integrated into our EMS. At this stage we will also update and formalise our environmental policy accordingly.
